Sportsmanship and Ethics in Middle and High School Sports

Objectives
• The student will be able to distinguish between winning the right way (sportsmanship) and winning at all costs or any way one can (gamesmanship). • The student will understand the meaning of "sport ethics" or how ethical behavior relates to sport participation. • The student will be able to identify the ethical dilemmas in sports, analyze the value conflicts inherent in ethical dilemmas in sports, and make and justify decisions regarding ethical dilemmas in sports by understanding the consequences of unethical behavior.
